"When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy." –Rumi
Georgina Berbari, M.A., E-RYT, photographer, writer + editor, yoga + meditation teacher
Georgina is a multidisciplinary artist and yogini based in New York. Expressing herself through various mediums, photography came to her as a first love at the age of 9, when she discovered observation through the lens to be a form of meditation.
Her practice is daily: a communion between viewer and viewed, an exploration of the human body and beyond.
Photo session testimonials:
☾ Upon meeting Georgina for the first very first time, she immediately felt like a longtime friend. A poetic multidisciplinary artist with a warm spiritual presence and a playful inquisitive process of unfolding. Thank you for spending time and unfolding with me.
☾ These are my favorite portraits anyone’s taken of me, Georgina has such a great eye. There was no fuss, no stress; the ease of it made me so surprised at how much I loved the images that she captured. Thank you Georgina for your gentle presence and loving eye. Please support her on Patreon to see the full extent of her genius!
☾ Georgina's beautiful portraits of me inspired me to take nude photos of myself. I feel like they're sensual and nice and I'm happy I did it. I felt beautiful taking them and I haven't felt that way in so long. Like it allowed me to be present with my body. Thank you for healing me in ways you may not have even meant to.

Embodied photo sessions include:
*Body liberation sessions (freedom from social/political systems of oppression that designate certain bodies as more worthy, healthy, and desirable than others... seeing one's body as a vessel for the cosmos)
*Nude sessions (which see the body as an art-form, and strip it of hyper-sexualization. Taking nude self-portraits has been and continues to be one of the most healing rituals for my relationship with my body/sexuality. I consistently get this feedback from others, as well)
*Photo sessions for healers (a way to support your business as a yoga/meditation teacher, acupuncturist, body-worker, & other complementary medicine healing modalities)
*And beyond: couples intimacy shoots, pregnancy/birth photos, end-of-life sessions, and more. Please inquire if you have a creative idea that isn't listed here, I'd love to hear from you.
Yoga + Meditation Offerings
Certified in yoga and meditation for nearly a decade now—including a recent advanced training in India—I am humbled to be a life-long student of these ancient practices. My intention is to serve as a guide for students to connect with their body’s intuition, and innermost divine essence.
My classes include movement (āsana), breath (pranayama), chanting (bhakti), and meditation (dhyāna).
I also create specialized classes for individual students upon request.
(*Bhakti means 'devotion' and weaves ancient poetry with intense musical rhythm to invoke a meditative atmosphere of divine ecstasy. In combination with āsana and silent meditation, this is a powerful, healing offering.)
Please contact me to learn more about private yoga classes.
As I continue in devotion to the paths of art and yoga, and in deep gratitude to all of my teachers, the boundary between the two dissolves and the practices intertwine.

☾ Shooting with Georgina made me feel so beautiful and feminine in a way I never have felt before. It felt like I was expressing myself in ways I never have been able to—it felt extremely liberating to me. Our shoot reminded me why I used to love getting photographed so much and why I am so particular about what kind of photography I actually like—I often feel that it misses what can make it such a power tool/story-telling tool, and creating with Georgina has given me that understanding back and has just made me want me to immerse myself in art more.
☾ Georgina made us feel so seen, beautiful, and safe during our engagement shoot. Everyone was blown away by her work!
☾ Georgina captures me in a way that makes me feel so beautiful. It's simply my body existing and it's so beautiful.
☾ Georgina's work is truly stunning and supportive of the female gaze. I really got lost in her Patreon today, what a gift.
