"When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy." –Rumi

Georgina Berbari, MA, RYT-200, is a photographer, writer + editor, and yoga + meditation teacher.

Georgina is a queer, middle-eastern, multidisciplinary artist. Expressing herself through various mediums, photography came to her at the age of 9, discovering observation through the lens to be a form of meditation. Her practice is daily: a communion between viewer and viewed, an exploration of the human body, sexuality, and psyche.

The ritual of contemplative photography creates a container for sacred witnessing and transformation. To be witnessed with joy, and without judgement is all of our birthright.

My intention is to share this ritual with all beings who seek it.

Photo session testimonials:

Upon meeting Georgina for the first very first time, she immediately felt like a longtime friend. A poetic multidisciplinary artist with a warm spiritual presence and a playful inquisitive process of unfolding. Thank you for spending time and unfolding with me.

These are my favorite portraits anyone’s taken of me, Georgina has such a great eye. There was no fuss, no stress, and the ease of it made me so surprised at how much I loved the images that she captured. Thank you Georgina for your gentle presence and loving eye. Please support her on Patreon to see the full extent of her genius!

My photo offerings include:

*Body liberation sessions (freedom from social/political systems of oppression that designate certain bodies as more worthy, healthy, and desirable than others... seeing one's body as a vessel for the cosmos.)

*Nude sessions  (which see the body as an art-form, and strip it of hypersexualization. Taking nude self-portraits has been and continues to be one of the most healing rituals for my relationship with my body/sexuality. I consistently get this feedback from others, as well.)

*Photo sessions for healers (a way to support your business as a yoga/meditation teacher, acupuncturist, bodyworker, & other complementary medicine healing modalities.)

*Couples/engagement intimacy shoots

*Pregnancy/birth photos

*End-of-life sessions

*Simple portraits

*and beyond...

I also offer yoga + meditation sessions. I have been an accredited yoga teacher for nearly a decade now; a life-long student, the ancient practice of Yoga (meaning 'union' in Sanskrit) deeply entwines with and informs my artistic processes. My focus is currently on Bhakti yoga: Bhakti means 'devotion' and weaves ancient poetry with intense rhythm to invoke an atmosphere of loving ecstasy. Please contact me to learn more about what my yoga offerings look like.

As I continue in devotion to the paths of art and yoga, and in deep gratitude to all of my teachers, the boundary between the two dissolves and the practices intertwine.

Photo session testimonials continued:

Shooting with Georgina made me feel so beautiful and feminine in a way I never have felt before. It felt like I was expressing myself in ways I never have been able to—it felt extremely liberating to me. Our shoot reminded me why I used to love getting photographed so much and why I am so particular about what kind of photography I actually like—I often feel that it misses what can make it such a power tool/story-telling tool, and creating with Georgina has given me that understanding back and has just made me want me to immerse myself in art more.

Georgina made us feel so seen, beautiful, and safe during our engagement shoot. Everyone was blown away by her work!

Georgina captures me in a way that makes me feel so beautiful. It's simply my body existing and it's so beautiful.

Georgina's work is truly stunning and supportive of the female gaze. I really got lost in her Patreon today, what a gift.

Georgina's portraits of me inspired me to take nude photos of myself and I feel like they're sensual and nice and I'm happy I did it. I felt beautiful taking them and I haven't felt that way in so long. Like it allowed me to be present with my body. Thank you for healing me in ways you may not have even meant to.

Thanks for reaching out! I'll be in touch soon.
